Terms of service.
1.These terms explain how we work with you. By going ahead with our services, you agree to these terms so everything is clear and fair from the start.
2. What We Do
We provide a range of joinery and Carpentry services, as set out in your estimate or proposal. If you’d like to make changes along the way, we’ll just need to confirm them together in writing/email/text message .
3. Payments
Our payment terms are straightforward:
A 50% deposit is due before work can begin. Please note, if this payment is not received, your project may be delayed and could lose its reserved time slot in our schedule.
The remaining 50% is payable on completion, once the work is finished and both parties are satisfied.
All invoices must be settled within 15 days of the invoice date.
all goods remain the property of K.Davey Carpentry & Joinery until full payment has been received.
4. Timelines
We’ll always do our best to finish within the agreed timeframe. Sometimes delays happen due to things outside our control (like material shortages or bad weather unforeseen illnesses), but we’ll keep you updated if that happens.
5. Aftercare
We stand by our work. If you notice any problems within 30 days of completion, let us know and we’ll put it right by repairing or replacing where reasonable.
6. Designs & Drawings
Any designs or plans we create remain our property, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
7. Governing Law & Disputes
This agreement is based on the laws of England and Wales. If any issue arises, we’ll try to resolve it with you directly and through mediation if needed, before turning to the courts.
8. A late payment fee of 1.5% per month may be added to overdue invoices, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
9. All payments must be made by bank transfer (BACS). We do not accept cash, cheques, or card payments.
10.Entire Agreement
This document sets out everything we’ve agreed. By going ahead with our services, you confirm you’ve read and understood these terms
